Empty Pews - Houston Churches Survey Area Christians

A group of Houston-area churches recently combined resources to find out why some Christians in the Houston area choose not to attend church.

The churches worked with the Barna Group to conduct a survey designed to tell them why many who identify themselves as Christians choose to forego local church involvement and what can be done to reach out to them.

The Houston Coalition of Church Communicators (H3C) is hosting a seminar on Thursday, November 12, from 2–4 pm to share the results of this study with interested churches and individuals.

George Barna will be conducting the seminar and expounding on the survey and subsequent results. Each person attending the seminar will be provided with a copy of the final report prior to the event date, and the seminar will include a Q&A session.

Three churches who worked on this include Chapelwood UMC, Christ UMC Sugar Land, and St. Luke’s UMC.
