Disability Awareness Sunday

The second Sunday in October has been designated by the Texas Annual Conference as Disability Awareness Sunday and Congress designated October as National Disabilities Employment Awareness month. 

In recognition, PBS will air the award-winning film Body & Soul: Diana & Kathy chronicling the lives of Diana Braun, who has Down syndrome and Kathy Conour, who had cerebral palsy, and their remarkable efforts in advocating for persons with disabilities.

KUHT in Houston will air this film on October 25 at 4 p.m. For other dates, times and further information on this film go to www.pbs.org/body-and-soul.
